Meet the Founders
"The most fulfilling thing about what we do is praying for our clients and making them a part of our family. "
We are the Smiths. We started Salt & Light Laundry Services on a whim in April of 2021 out of our home with Celina, TX being our very first service area ©
Drew was working long hours as a GM of a restaurant in Coppell, and I owned and operated an in-home daycare. Neither of which are jobs that offer generous amounts of free time. For the first 4 months of Salt and Light being open, we both continued to work our full time jobs during the day and run our little start up through the night into the early morning. Very quickly we realized that this wasn't just an opportunity to earn money. This was an opportunity to make an impact for the Kingdom.
We began asking our (very few) clients at the time how we could be praying for them. We began interceding to God on behalf of others and had the privilege of seeing our own prayer lives blossom in the process. The Lord began to speak clearly and give us revelant scripture to each clients unique situation and prayer requests. That's when we knew, the Lord was moving and He was going to turn this into more than we could've imagined.
Finally, the workload became far too much for the two of us to handle on our own. We hired our very first washers to serve the Plano and Aubrey area. The Lord provided full schedules for both of those washers almost immediately and again.. We were seeing a great move of God. We even had someone come to FAITH IN CHRIST within year 1 . That was pretty amazing...
Fast forward to now... we have both left our full time jobs and have dedicated our time fully to building a KINGDOM BUSINESS and thriving ministry with a mission to make it known that Jesus is the answer to every question. We haven't done things perfectly. There have been times where we turned our backs on the Lord, took this blessing for granted, and neglected to be faithful stewards. But as His word says... "He who began a great work will see it through to completion." We've witnessed it firsthand.
Thank you to all who have supported us, trusted us, and believed in our mission. All Glory to the One who saved us. - Drew & Jourdan Smith
